Supplier Development Engineer
JCB North America is the world’s largest privately-owned manufacturer of construction and agricultural equipment. The Supplier Development Engineer evaluates vendors' operations and products for compliance with quality standards, prepares reports, and follows up on corrective actions to ensure supplier performance and capacity meet JCB's requirements.

Responsibilities
Supplier Quality Management: Schedule and perform ongoing QMS, process and product audit at suppliers, issue reports and develop and expedite corrective action plans. The goal is the supplier attainment of Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety certification to industry accepted standards such as ISO 14000 and ISO/TS 16949 and 100% adherence to JCB Technical and Quality Standards
Supplier Performance: Monitors and forecasts supplier PPM, Delivery and Warranty performance. Responsible for developing corrective measures for continuous improvement, mitigation of minor risks and timely escalates major threats. Demonstrates continuous P&L cost benefit from corrective measures and supplier development plans
Supplier Capacity: Monitor JCB demand against supplier capacity and identify constraints. With the Buyer, develop and implement corrective measures /to mitigate supply risks
Qualification
Required
Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable
Bachelor's degree in engineering or quality
Five years of experience with quality standards in a manufacturing environment
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP
Demonstrated ability to perform with minimal supervision
Proficient at data analyses, problem solving, application of advanced mathematical principles and statistical analyses
Experienced in project management, simplifying complex concepts and data and clarifying ambiguous information
Knowledge of ISO 14000, the ISO 9000 series and ISO TS/16949
Effective verbal and written communication skills with all organizational levels
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications
Knowledge of the entire product development process from 'Concept' to 'Production Release' (PPAP)
Knowledge of industrial and quality engineering principles, including but not limited to process layout, standard operating procedures, SPC, Cpk, Cmk, Ppk, Lean Six Sigma, 55
Refined in assertion, decision making, negotiation, conflict resolution and delegation
Intimate safety awareness and a strong ethic to wear Personal Protective Equipment where required
