Responsibilities

Design, develop, and install new PLC-based control systems

Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving PLC-related issues

Create and update documentation, including work instructions, functional specifications, electrical and pneumatic schematics

Conduct machine functionality and fault recovery testing; participate in project startup and commissioning

Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Maintenance Technicians, and Production Supervisors

Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards

Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or quality concerns promptly

Support quality system requirements, including corrective actions, audits, and documentation control

Required

Hands-on experience with electrical control system design, PLC programming, and troubleshooting

Familiarity with industrial networks (DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP)

Exposure to vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, Omron)

Basic knowledge of electrical devices (proximity switches, load cells, LVDTs, signal conditioners)

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Willingness to work overtime as needed

Preferred

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Controls Technician

Associate degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering or related field

Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC controls, RSLogix500/5000, PanelView HMI applications

Knowledge of IFM and Keyence inspection camera applications
