The Facilities Maintenance Tech II will be responsible for advanced building and ground repairs, minor equipment installation, and preventative maintenance while ensuring compliance with the company’s quality system and operational excellence programs.

Responsibilities

Plan and perform work relating to repair of buildings and grounds
Recommend improvements and changes for increased quality or efficiency
Perform preventative maintenance per schedule
Train the Facilities Maintenance Tech I position
Work independently on projects of advanced complexity
Enter production information into the ERP system on a timely basis
Accurately record and report hours worked
Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
Participate in required company meetings
Maintain an organized work area (5S)
Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
Complete all other work duties as assigned
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Required

3 years of facility maintenance experience
3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision
Intermittent exposure to safe levels of cleaning solutions, solvents, and solder (lead) fumes
Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents
Mechanical Aptitude
Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
Attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
Ability to collaborate and assist team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend and participate in meetings
Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required
Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to prioritize and multitask
