Responsibilities
Prepare individual and/or business tax returns in accordance with federal, state, and local tax laws
Review financial documents and verify accuracy of information provided by clients
Identify potential deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns
Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to compliance standards
Respond to client inquiries and provide clear explanations of tax-related matters
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of tax preparation processes and relevant regulations
Proficiency with tax preparation software and basic computer skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
Effective communication skills for interacting with clients
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred
Certification (e.g., CPA, EA) is a plus but not required
Prior experience in tax preparation or accounting
Familiarity with multiple tax forms and filing requirements
