Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and healthcare regulations

Maintaining and reconciling the hospital's general ledger accounts

Monitoring account activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations

Analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to senior leadership

Coordinating annual financial audits and ensuring compliance with healthcare industry regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA

Addressing audit findings and implementing corrective actions as necessary

Providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the department's effectiveness and growth

Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance financial controls, and improve efficiency within the department

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
