Responsibilities
Prepare and validate payroll data, including employee changes, hours worked, overtime, and paid time off
Perform administrative payroll tasks to support accurate and timely payroll cycles
Assist with internal and external payroll audits, including data reconciliation and cleanup of historical records
Support compliance efforts related to multi-state payroll, including overtime calculations, PTO policies, and wage and hour regulations
Partner with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
Maintain accurate payroll documentation and records in accordance with company and regulatory standards
Contribute to payroll process improvements and projects, including those related to future domestic and international expansion
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of experience supporting payroll administration for an employee population of approximately 500–1,000 employees
Strong understanding of payroll compliance, particularly multi-state payroll regulations, overtime calculations, and PTO administration
Experience assisting with payroll audits and data cleanup initiatives
Hands-on experience with UKG preferred; ADP or Paylocity experience strongly transferrable
High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy
Preferred
Experience supporting payroll operations in a scaling or high-growth organization
Interest in contributing to payroll projects related to global expansion
Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership
