Responsibilities
Providing production support, architecture, life-cycle management, configuration and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks and network appliances and systems in a global enterprise environment
Completing documentation and cross-training
Working with other teams to resolve issues and deliver solutions
Responding to network-related incidents, service requests and project tasks
Responsible for planning, ordering, and implementation of LAN/WAN/Wireless equipment
Utilizes knowledge to monitor, and troubleshoot to resolve requests, problems and outages in a timely and effective manner with assistance from vendors and in-house resources; guides and mentors other members of IT organization
Providing solid understanding of secure network architecture
Working with Cisco & Meraki products and installing, configuring, and maintaining routers/switches
Working with Palo Alto products and installing, configuring, and maintaining firewalls
Working with AWS - VPN, VPC, Route53, Security Groups
Building, upgrading, and configuring new and existing system components
Providing technical documentation for solutions (Diagrams, Test Plans, Requirements)
Work with outside vendors to planning and installations of data/voice communication networks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or certifications
Minimum 6-8+ years of relevant in-depth technical knowledge in areas related to platform specific systems and/or network operations
Experience in LAN/WAN, SDWAN, VLAN, EIGRP, OSPF, VPN's, MPLS, NAT, QOS and SSL
Experience in supporting an enterprise infrastructure
Experience with configuring and supporting enterprise grade network equipment (routers, switches, wireless, firewalls)
Experienced troubleshooting skills
Ability to work effectively with personnel on all levels
Preferred
Experience with Network Performance Monitoring Tools
Experience in Project Management
Experience and Technical Expertise with:
Cisco Networking Equipment (CatOS, IOS)
Meraki Networking Equipment (Switches, Wireless, Firewalls)
Firewalls (Palo Alto)
VPN (Palo Alto Global Protect)
Connectivity / Configuration of Networking in AWS
DNS / DHCP
6-8+ years' experience in network design, deployment, configuration and troubleshooting
Technical Certifications (ex. CCNP, CCDA, PCNSA, PCNSE) and college degree preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to adapt in growing & dynamic environments
