Senior Levele&e IT Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a highly technical Senior Unix Admin for a hybrid contract opportunity. The role focuses on architecting, designing, and supporting complex Unix and containerized computing environments, with an emphasis on AWS-based services and disaster recovery capabilities.

Responsibilities
Architect, design, and support enterprise Unix (AIX, RHEL) and Kubernetes environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructures
Build, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, including manifests, Helm charts, and deployment pipelines
Partner with development and DevOps teams to migrate, deploy, and operate containerized workloads in AWS and hybrid environments
Implement and maintain CI/CD integration with Kubernetes and Linux platforms using Git-based workflows
Support virtualization technologies and enterprise hardware platforms including IBM and EMC systems
Design, test, and maintain disaster recovery and high-availability strategies for mission-critical systems
Monitor system performance, conduct root-cause analysis, and resolve complex infrastructure issues
Provide technical leadership, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the broader technology network
Qualification
Required
Proven experience creating, configuring, and administering Enterprise Linux-based systems (AIX, RHEL)
Strong hands-on experience implementing and managing Kubernetes platforms
Proficiency creating, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes manifest files
Experience developing, reading, and maintaining Helm charts
Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and supporting toolchains
Experience using Git for version control and collaboration
Preferred
Working knowledge of network technologies including load balancing, DNS, gateways, proxies, firewalls, and service APIs
Ability to review and troubleshoot Java VM and Apache Tomcat configurations and errors
Understanding of PostgreSQL deployment and configuration
Familiarity with Gradle or Maven build processes
Experience deploying containerized applications in public cloud platforms such as AWS EKS/ECS or Azure AKS/ACI
