Responsibilities
Act as both subject matter expert on transmission and interconnection matters
Lead a small team of Engineers and Analysts
Ensure that interconnection agreements are negotiated and secured
Develop and better relationships with utilities
Advise development teams on project viability, costs and the best commercial options per project
Qualification
Required
Engineering background of 10+ years - at least a Bachelors in an engineering discipline is essential
5+ years interconnection experience - this could either be from the power industry side or renewables
Strong strategic mindset with a clear plan of potential market opportunities
Line management experience is very important given you will be picking up a team from day 1
Demonstrable track record of successful execution of interconnection agreements and work with utilities
Must be a people person - able to collaborate between various internal departments as well as various external stakeholders and partners
