Byrne Software Technologies is seeking a Senior SQL Developer to support and enhance transactional database systems for multiple client implementations. The role involves developing and maintaining SQL logic, optimizing queries, and integrating SQL development processes into DevOps pipelines.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, and triggers tailored to both shared and client-specific business logic
Optimize transactional queries and implement indexing strategies for high-volume OLTP systems
Manage and evolve database components for multi-client architecture, ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability
Integrate SQL development processes into DevOps pipelines for automated deployment, versioning, rollback, and environment management
Monitor and analyze performance using SQL Server Extended Events, Execution Plans, and other profiling tools
Utilize SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to develop, test, debug, and tune SQL logic
Implement and support CI/CD workflows for database code using tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, and SQL Change Automation
Collaborate with Software Engineers and other technical / non-technical teams to deliver performant, testable, and reliable data solutions
Troubleshoot production issues across environments and provide timely resolutions with root cause analysis

Required

7 years of experience performing SQL development with a focus on transactional systems
Expertise with T-SQL (SQL Server) and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Experience working with multi-tenant or client-specific database implementations
Analyze and optimize queries using execution plans, indexes, and Extended Events
DevOps tooling and processes, including database code versioning, automated deployments, and rollback strategies
Proficiency in Git, PowerShell, or other scripting languages used in automation

Preferred

Exposure to cloud-hosted SQL environments (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS)
Familiarity with SQL Server Agent, scheduled jobs, and automation via SSIS
