Jurisdictional Consultant II

Responsibilities
Inspect, evaluate and consult regarding pressure equipment for jurisdictional and risk servicing purposes at all insured locations
Assess complex piping, sophisticated controls, and fluid dynamics, advanced water treatment, all repair and examination methods
Demonstrate understanding of uncommon applications (e.g., high temperature water and organic fluid/vapor boilers)
Handle a broad range of boiler and pressure vessel situations
Consult on regulatory or jurisdictional requirements
Integrate regulatory requirements in evaluating pressure equipment
Verify equipment conditions are in compliance with Jurisdictional Regulations and FM Standards
Work closely with clients to eliminate or mitigate hazards
Take on assignments of a more complex nature
Understand and communicate impact to clients’ business regarding boiler and pressure vessel exposures
Demonstrate strong competence in handling field work and related administrative tasks for the most common occupancies and hazards with minimal guidance and supervision
Conduct incident investigations of pressure equipment at the discretion of the Operations Chief Inspector
Qualification
Required
National Board In-service commission
state/provincial jurisdictional certificate of competency for the jurisdictions in which they will be providing Jurisdictional services
ability to inspect, evaluate and consult regarding pressure equipment for jurisdictional and risk servicing purposes
solid understanding and ability to consult on regulatory or jurisdictional requirements
competence in handling field work and related administrative tasks for the most common occupancies and hazards with minimal guidance and supervision
ability to assess complex piping, sophisticated controls, and fluid dynamics
understanding of advanced water treatment, all repair and examination methods, and uncommon applications (e.g., high temperature water and organic fluid/vapor boilers)
