Responsibilities

Be an essential part of our month-end close process by recording journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, conducting flux analyses, and ensuring close is timely

Be a key player in developing process improvements to streamline close and build scalable solutions to support our growth

Majorly contribute to external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls

Compile support for various tax filings and own assigned regulatory reporting tasks

Assist in researching technical accounting matters

Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reporting in support of Leadership

Bachelor's in Accounting required

5+ years of accounting experience required

Proficiency in Excel is required

CPA (active) preferred

Master's is a nice to have

Prior loan accounting experience would be great

Experience accounting for FinTechs, securitization trusts, and/or working in dynamic start up and/or high growth company environments is a plus

Experience with BI tools is preferred

Basic understanding of SQL, middleware applications, and/or data science in general is a nice to have

Prior experience working with QuickBooks is strongly preferred

Previous technical accounting experience in the following areas is a plus: revenue recognition (ASC 606), servicing and transfers (ASC 860), consolidations (ASC 810), FVO (ASC 825), and/or equity and equity-linked financial instruments (ASC 480)
