Public Sector Sales Representative
Colonial Life is dedicated to protecting employees within the public sector and is seeking a Public Sector Sales Representative to help support their growing sales in this market. This role focuses on building and managing relationships with federal, state, and local government clients, including schools and municipalities, while leveraging existing networks and developing new connections.
Responsibilities
Building and managing relationships with public sector clients, including schools, municipalities, and government agencies
Leveraging an existing network of public sector contacts to position Colonial Life’s voluntary benefits portfolio and enrollment support
Building a network of public sector decision-makers with expectations for long-term service strategies
Developing new relationships with local and national public sector leaders
Qualification
Required
Licensed life and health independent agents
Experience in sales, especially within the public sector or employee benefits space
Strong relationship-building and networking abilities, particularly with public sector decision-makers
Leadership experience in recruiting, training, or developing a team
Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a proactive, adaptable mindset
Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build long-term partnerships
Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital tools for communication, tracking, and presentations
Communication and presentation skills
Health & Life Insurance License (or willingness to obtain)
