Responsibilities
Manage the full project lifecycle for ITS and transportation-electrical projects
Lead installation and delivery of: Smart traffic signal systems, Traffic cameras, sensors, and detection equipment, Communication networks supporting real-time traffic operations, Ramp metering systems, Street and safety lighting
Oversee projects involving: Intelligent Transportation Systems – Electrical, Traffic Signal & Safety Lighting, Street Lighting, Microwave Vehicle Detection, Fiber Optic Communication systems, Industrial & Commercial Electrical scope related to transportation infrastructure
Coordinate with owners, public agencies, inspectors, utilities, and design teams
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal field teams
Control project budgets, cost tracking, and change management
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
Ensure jobsite safety, quality control, and compliance with project specifications
Lead testing, commissioning, and system turnover at project closeout
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience managing ITS, transportation-electrical, or roadway technology projects
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience managing transportation and infrastructure projects
Heavy civil construction background is required, with experience on roadway, highway, or infrastructure projects
Demonstrated experience with traffic signal systems
Demonstrated experience with street and roadway lighting
Demonstrated experience with ITS field devices including cameras, sensors, and detection systems
Demonstrated experience with fiber optic and communication networks
Strong understanding of electrical construction in transportation environments
Proven ability to manage active field operations, not just paperwork
Solid knowledge of safety standards, traffic control, and jobsite compliance
Preferred
Experience working on public works or DOT projects preferred
