Bayonne Drydock & Repair is seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to maintain a system of quality and reliability testing for their work products and processes. The role involves coordinating inspections, ensuring quality workmanship, and documenting project completion.

Responsibilities

Coordinating inspections for ongoing work in facility’s Graving Dock (“Drydock”) and Mobile Boat Hoist (“MBH”)

Assessing work specification requirements to ensure milestones are met and production is carried out with requisite quality

Develop strategies or policies to allow for higher quality in workmanship

Facilitate interactions between Bayonne Drydock personnel and customer, regulatory body, and government representatives

Document inspection findings and memorialize via appropriate project sequence mechanisms

Assist Quality Assurance Manager in developing daily inspection schedules and communicating same to all interested parties

Adapting and prioritizing inspections based on overall project schedule
