Responsibilities
Design, build, and deliver high-quality embedded software solutions for flight display and avionics systems
Work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design software architecture, and implement features
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept through deployment
Ensure seamless integration of new software with existing avionics and embedded systems
Take end-to-end ownership of assigned software components and features
Identify and implement enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability
Contribute to software architecture decisions, feature definition, and coding standards
Stay current with evolving technologies and incorporate best practices into development processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a STEM-related discipline
6+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software development
Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with multiple software development methodologies, tools, and lifecycle models
Experience with additional programming technologies such as Python, OpenGL, or similar
Hands-on experience developing software for Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
Background in aerospace, avionics, embedded display systems, or related industries
Exposure to avionics systems such as flight displays, navigation, flight planning, flight controls, TCAS, terrain awareness, radios, or crew alerting systems
Experience working in Agile development environments
Knowledge of software configuration management and change control practices
Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly absorb new concepts and make sound decisions in complex environments
