Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain networks, servers, and workstations tailored for dental offices
Software Integration: Install, configure, and provide ongoing support for dental software applications like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Sidexis, and Dexis
Cloud & Backup Solutions: Configure local and cloud backup solutions, ensuring robust disaster recovery plans are in place
Technical Support: Deliver exceptional technical support, resolving escalated issues swiftly and effectively
Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with dental technology vendors to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software, including digital imaging systems, X-ray machines, and intraoral scanners
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, procedures, and client environments for future reference
Client Communication: Ensure all projects and tasks are completed to scope and meet Medix standards. Projects include: server replacements, technology installations for new build offices, new client onboardings, and large workstations replacement installations
Teamwork and Ownership: Collaborate closely with fellow System Engineers, Onsite Engineers, and the Project team to achieve outstanding results
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Availability to work evening hours, approximately 3–4 nights per month. Occasionally, additional evening hours may be required during peak periods. This role is part of a pool of System Engineers who support billable projects during evening hours
Excellent problem-solving skills, time management, and a customer-focused mindset
Requires a high level of ownership and accountability for own work, timelines, and deliverables
Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with clients and vendors
3+ years of proven experience in IT systems engineering, preferably in the dental sector
Strong knowledge of networking, server management, and workstation deployment
Preferred
Dental MSP experience
