Client Coordinator & Legal Support Assistant - Immigrant Family Legal Clinic & Housing Justice Clinic
UCLA is hiring a Client Coordinator & Legal Support Assistant for its Immigrant Family Legal Clinic and Housing Justice Clinic. This full-time position focuses on providing legal and administrative support, client intake, case management, and outreach, particularly for students and families in LAUSD schools.

Responsibilities
Provide high-level legal and administrative support to the Faculty directors, staff attorneys, students, and clients of the Immigrant Family Legal Clinic and Housing Justice Clinic
Responsible for client intake, case management, program administration, communications, and outreach, ensuring smooth operations and effective service delivery across both clinics
Focus particularly on developing the clinics' partnerships with downtown LAUSD schools, providing legal support and assistance with outreach and limited legal services in the school setting
Supervise undergraduate student interns and student workers
Work collaboratively with diverse populations in a dynamic, community-based legal environment
Qualification
Required
Minimum 2 Years Experience working as a legal assistant, administrative assistant, legal support specialist, or paralegal in a law office or legal services organization
Experience and detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, and OneNote
Experience with case management systems
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak fluently in Spanish
Typing and office skills to prepare a variety of legal documents, often under deadlines
Ability to work flexibly with changing priorities and deadlines
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to individuals and groups from a variety of social contexts, including members of immigrant communities
Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively under conditions of heavy workload, frequent distractions, and deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions
Ability to exercise discretion in managing sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
Knowledge of immigration law, housing law, or other relevant legal areas
Thorough knowledge of legal terminology
Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience/training
Preferred
Prior experience working with immigrants, refugees, low-income individuals, or other vulnerable populations
Knowledge of UC processes, protocols and procedures
Paralegal certificate/degree in paralegal studies must be from an ABA-approved institution
