Responsibilities
Design and document mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and control systems for aviation, education, civic, tribal, commercial, and federal facilities
Produce drawings, specifications, diagrams, 3D models, and reports that align with project goals
Perform calculations such as load analysis, energy modeling, and equipment sizing
Apply building codes, ASHRAE standards, and industry guidelines to ensure functional, compliant solutions
Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and team coordination efforts
Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams to deliver integrated outcomes
Support QA/QC efforts and construction administration activities, including submittal reviews and site observations
Lead project documentation and mentor junior staff (mid- and senior-level roles)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
FE exam passed and actively pursuing PE licensure (for Mid-Level)
5+ years of progressive experience (for Mid-Level)
Demonstrated ability to lead design efforts and coordinate small to mid-scale projects (for Mid-Level)
Active PE license (for Senior Engineer)
10+ years of progressive experience leading mechanical design (for Senior Engineer)
Proficiency in Revit
Strong understanding of building systems, documentation standards, and interdisciplinary coordination
Experience in sectors such as aviation, civic, commercial, tribal, mission critical, or federal work is highly valued
