Incoming Quality Engineer, Megafactory
Tesla is a leading company in the automotive industry, seeking an Incoming Quality Engineer for their Megafactory. This role is responsible for managing the incoming quality program, conducting failure analysis, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities
Drive improvements utilizing Lean methodologies, Statistical Process Control, scorecards, ensuring supplier compliance, whilst driving systematic problem solving and process improvement plans
Based on performance and business needs, set priorities for cross functional teams and suppliers
Develop positive relationships to manage, implement, and track supplier/engineering, design changes, capacity studies and New Product Introductions
First Article Inspection planning and execution and development, implementation and management of incoming quality processes
Provide leadership and guidance during investigations of major problems and or special projects focusing on incoming quality inspections
Perform root cause analysis, coordinate, and conduct specialized testing and measurement
Keep up with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends that concern product quality
Qualification
Required
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience and knowledge of PPAP/APQP processes
In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and sampling inspection
Knowledge in Statistics, Statistical Process Control and data mining and analysis
Possess demonstrable leadership abilities and previous experience managing safety critical parts
Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level with proven results in meeting customer requirements
Ability to define and execute a project using project management techniques
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Six Sigma or ASQ certification
