Responsibilities
Lead the civil and structural design efforts for substation and transmission line projects
Create detailed design packages, including foundation systems, structural steel supports, and site layouts
Ensure all designs meet stringent utility standards and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in civil/structural design specifically for Substation or Transmission projects
Extensive technical background working with High Voltage (HV) systems of 138kV or greater
Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, or RISA-3D
Experience with foundation design (drilled shafts, spread footings) and structural steel analysis for utility applications
Knowledge of industry standards including NESC, ASCE, and ACI codes
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining close coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
Strong communication skills and the ability to review and stamp engineering drawings
Professional Engineer (PE) License is required
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
