Software Product Coordinator & Customer Champion
CareAscendium is a small, fast-moving team building an AI-powered all-in-one solution for long-term care facilities. The role involves coordinating product development while engaging closely with customers to gather feedback and prioritize product features.
Responsibilities
Act as the central organizer for our small dev team: keep the backlog clean, help prioritize what to build next, and track progress in tools like Jira or even Trello
Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and lightweight specs — you’ll translate customer needs into something engineers can build quickly
Run our lightweight agile-ish process: daily standups (10–15 min), planning sessions, and quick retros with the whole team
Help plan and coordinate small, frequent releases — from feature scoping to testing hand-off and launch announcements
Maintain living product documentation, roadmaps (shared publicly or internally), release notes, and help docs
Spot risks/blockers early and work directly with developers/founders to unblock them
Own product demos — from first discovery calls with prospects to deep-dive sessions with active customers
Regularly talk to users (interviews, quick feedback calls, in-app surveys, Slack/email) to uncover pain points, desired features, and what’s working
Turn raw customer feedback into prioritized requirements, user stories, and roadmap input — you’ll be the strongest "voice of the customer" in the room
Help with onboarding, training, and Q&A for new customers — get them to value quickly
Work hand-in-hand with our (small) sales/support efforts: spot upsell opportunities, early churn risks, and recurring themes
Occasionally jump into support tickets or bug triage when things get busy
Jump in wherever needed — competitive research, basic usage analytics, creating marketing one-pagers, helping with launch emails/social, etc
Contribute ideas fearlessly — in a small company like CareAscendium, your voice matters a lot
Help evolve how we build and ship as we grow
Qualification
Required
2–5 years in software/SaaS — ideally a mix of product coordination, customer-facing (success, pre-sales, solutions engineering), or technical project support
Comfortable working directly with small dev teams (you'll talk to engineers daily)
Strong at delivering engaging product demos and explaining value to non-technical people
Excellent at listening to customers, asking great discovery questions, and turning messy feedback into clear, prioritized needs
Organized and proactive — you can manage many threads without much oversight
Solid written/verbal communication — you write clear stories and speak confidently with users, devs, and founders
Experience working with skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, or other parts of the long-term care industry
Preferred
Experience in early-stage startups or very small teams (you know the 'everyone does everything' vibe)
Familiarity with lightweight tools: Jira, Google Analytics
Basic technical comfort (can read basic API docs, understand web app flows, demo confidently)
Previous time in customer success, support, or sales engineering
