Vice President Media
Havas Edge is an award-winning, international performance marketing agency that influences people to act by combining multi-channel marketing and commerce. The VP, Offline Media will oversee the media department's daily operations, manage client relationships, and lead a team to achieve client and agency objectives.
Responsibilities
Operate autonomously with own clientele while effectively managing a team of Buyers, planners, and coordinators
Establish, manage, and maintain a strong working relationship with representatives for national cable, network, syndication, satellite, local cable, regional cable, local broadcast, and third-party vendors
The VP must be able to bring keen analytical skills to bear in developing successful campaigns. Analysis of historical performance data in preparing media plans with supporting rationale and evaluating the suitability of media avails for those plans
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong relationships is critical. Negotiating and securing advantageous time periods at favorable rates on behalf of the company’s clients based on ROI and Audience Delivery metrics
Build new opportunities for clients by creating cross-network packages that distinguish the agency in the marketplace
Monitoring and adjusting buys as needed based on performance, or AE/Client direction
Overseeing the media team (Senior Buyers, Buyers, Planners, and Coordinators) to ensure that all work is done in an accurate and timely manner
Manage the summer Offline Media internship program
Develop mentor and train offline media team to achieve departmental and personal performance goals
Partner with HR and TA to manage Offline Media Department hiring
Manage and oversee onboarding & training of all new hires
Oversee overall team performance, and partner with HR when individual performance improvement plans are needed
Qualification
Required

Strong initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, communication/rapport building, attention to detail, tenacity, and a pro-active entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to adapt to workload and working conditions while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
Understanding of media from both a direct response and audience delivery capacity
Proven ability to manage complex client engagements
Excellent verbal, visual, and written presentation skills – specifically speaking with clarity and confidence and writing concise presentations and proposals
Preferred
Nielson and MRI experience preferred
Minimum 10+ years' experience in media preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Business or relevant area of study preferred but not required if relevant professional sales or buying experience
