Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and design low and medium voltage distribution systems for industrial facilities, transit facilities and stations, electric vehicle charging stations and microgrid applications
Develop plans, specifications, calculations, cost estimates, technical studies, reports, and memorandums
Visit project sites and customer facilities for meetings, data collection and planning
Coordinate with electric utilities for permitting and electric services
Coordinate with other engineers and architects
Meet and communicate with clients, team members, and management

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical system design
PE registration in the State of Washington (or the ability to obtain registration within six months)
Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes
Experience in developing plans, specifications, calculations, technical memorandums, and estimates for projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality

Preferred

Experience in low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems design
Experience in microgrid systems design, such as power generators, PV solar systems, battery storage systems
Experience in electric vehicle (EV) charging stations
Experience in industrial facility distribution
Experience in high voltage systems and control systems design
Experience in the electrical trade
Experience in transit facility systems design
Experience working with electrical utilities
Experience in power systems analysis, such as load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and protective relay coordination
Familiarity with power systems analysis software like ETAP, Power Factory, or similar applications
Experience using AutoCAD or similar drafting programs
