Responsibilities
Assist in developing electrical design packages for switchgear projects, including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of material (BOM)
Review technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements
Prepare and release BOMs for purchasing and fabrication
Incorporate new product designs and modifications into production engineering systems
Collaborate on product development activities, including modeling and design for manufacturing (DFM)
Help maintain standard designs and configurations
Provide technical support to manufacturing teams and assist with resolving product or project-related issues
Work closely with mechanical engineering, project management, and customers to ensure project success
Communicate project progress and potential challenges to supervisors
Contribute to improving engineering processes and systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
3–8 years of experience in electrical design
Familiarity with control circuits, transfer schemes, differential schemes, and PT/CPT load calculations
Ability to interpret customer specifications and create complete documentation packages
Understanding of switchgear mechanical design and internal wiring
Knowledge of ANSI, NEC, and UL standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Preferred
medium-voltage switchgear experience preferred
SolidWorks experience preferred
