Responsibilities

Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in project development of manufacturing plans, schedules, and quality plans
Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports
Review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are met
Complete Inspection Plans in conjunction with Project Planning and in coordination with Project Management
Verify compliance to codes, standards and customer contracts
Performs in process and final inspections on customer ordered projects as necessary
Organize and monitor Corrective Actions, assist to evaluate and determine Root Cause and Corrective Action Plans
Must be able to comply with Safety, 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap Standards and Practices
Develops detailed Production Build Plan packages based upon customer process specifications and engineering drawings
Maintains heightened awareness of the project schedule for each project as it moves through the value stream in order to meet key project deadlines
Facilitates communication and consultation with Program Management, Operations, QA and HR
Assists in the execution of a project plan, including the development of Work Orders, materials procurement and organization, preparation of schedules and budgets, and various other project activities
Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
Develops and executes high level and detailed project plans, including managing schedules and budgets
Works directly with the customer to determine detailed requirements and deliverables, communicates or presents to customer on project status or health
Actively engages customers and internal teams to ensure progress on all stages of project lifecycle
Communicates, consults with, and participates in design and manufacturing support activities
Facilitates communication and consultation with production; oversees manufacturing in collaboration with project engineers
Completes and understands all quality requirements for projects
Enforces 5S and AS9100 Standards and Practices throughout all work performed
Develops and maintains a positive strategic relationships with customers to sustain ongoing work and uncover new opportunities
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field is required
4+ years of experience
Demonstrated leadership capabilities. Must be able to lead a team of engineers to create and execute complex objectives in the manufacturing of products
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Focus, self-motivation and initiative is a must
Organizational skills to support management of multiple tasks and activities

Preferred

Experience with CATIA and NX or equivalent CAD software is a plus
Proficiency with SAP ERP Software is preferred
Experience with complex machining in a manufacturing environment, or working within aerospace projects is preferred
