Senior Manager, VAS Sales Engineer

Responsibilities
Maintain in depth knowledge across all the DPS Issuer Processing platform and Value-Added Services
Work across product teams to gain knowledge and create materials to lead knowledge sharing sessions, ensuring sales teams are well educated and up to date on DPS and VAS products and services
Lead efforts to collaborate with third party providers to further understand DPS and VAS opportunities, roadmap development and integration with mutual clients. (Mobile app providers, Host or Core providers)
Identify product gaps and market opportunities, help drive discussions with stakeholders to close gaps
Help evaluate and implement Sales Engineering engagement processes (including internal and external stakeholders), particularly with new product launch (Risk products, Digital Issuance, etc.)
Organize and lead client ideation and white-boarding sessions with net new prospects and existing clients
Create client specific comprehensive documentation for technical discussions during pre-sell ideation process
Support the net new sales team throughout the sales cycle including collaborative client presentations (on-site and virtually)
Support the cross sales effort to increase Visa processing volume and expand penetration of Visa DPS and VAS products and solutions by building customized materials to position Visa as the best partner
Foster in-depth and productive relationships at all levels with clients and within Visa
Support junior Sales Engineering team members through knowledge share and mentorship
Support RFP process
Support various ad-hoc internal projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Proven technical acumen in an Issuer Processing environment
High level of knowledge of all DPS processing systems (DPS+, Forward) and value-added products and services
Strong understanding API capabilities and integration points with all stakeholders including DPS systems, client internal systems and third-party mobile providers
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exemplary record of client facing interactions
Ability to collaborate with third party providers to further understand DPS and VAS opportunities
Ability to identify product gaps and market opportunities
Ability to evaluate and implement Sales Engineering engagement processes
Ability to organize and lead client ideation and white-boarding sessions
Ability to create client specific comprehensive documentation for technical discussions
Ability to support the net new sales team throughout the sales cycle

Preferred
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
4 or more years with Payment Industry required
Experience with related sales, product and/or management experience in the payments industry
Strong understanding of API functionality
Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives with efficiency, professionalism and with demonstrated trouble shooting/problem solving skills
Proven track record of successful sales and/or relationship management
Experience in executing effective sales strategies for new payment products and services preferred
Ability to communicate and manage relationships with all levels of the client's organization
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success/achievement
Ability to travel as needed to ensure adequate on-site interaction with the client
Exceptional customer service and advocacy experience and mindset
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
