Application Development Analyst or Senior - Temporary

Idaho Power, located in vibrant Boise, Idaho, is looking for two Application Development Analysts or Seniors to join our Information Technology team. The role involves providing analysis, design, development, and ongoing support for custom applications and integrations, focusing on application development using Microsoft's development stack.

Responsibilities

Provides analysis, design, development, and ongoing support for the implementation of custom applications and integrations
Focus on application development using Microsoft's development stack including .NET, .NET Framework and .NET MAUI to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions
Development is focused on both internal and customer facing applications using ASP.NET, Entity Framework and Web APIs
Participates in problem analysis, solution development, action planning and implementation coordination with peer developers and technical system analysts
Serve as technical expert and/or technical project lead/manager and may direct the work of other developers

Required

BS in Computer Science and 1 year of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training
OR
5 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training
BS in Computer Science and 3 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training
OR
7 years of directly relevant experience and/or formal, targeted hands-on training
Knowledge of computer programming concepts, relational databases, programming languages, and system design
Skills in oral and written communication
Skills in programming language and applications as needed for the position
Customer-service oriented skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to be a self-starter
Ability to learn new technologies

Preferred

Project Management and/or programming language certification desirable
