DevOps Engineer/IT

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure primarily via Terraform (or equivalent IaC)
Define reusable Terraform modules, enforce best practices, version control of infra definitions
Manage AWS services (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS, etc.)
Provision, scale, and optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and reliability
Monitor, alert, and troubleshoot production issues
Automate deployments, build CI/CD pipelines, manage configuration across environments
Conduct architectural/technical reviews for new services or components
Research, evaluate, and build internal tooling, including AI/ML-based automations, to improve developer workflows
Implement AI assistants, code generation helpers, internal bots, or scripts to reduce manual toil
Integrate these tools into CI/CD pipelines or developer environments
Survey and evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and platforms to bring efficiencies
Act as a point of contact for internal IT tickets (hardware, software, access issues)
Troubleshoot and resolve light support requests (user accounts, VPN, workstation, network)
Collaborate with external vendors when needed
Maintain internal documentation, onboarding guides, and runbooks
Participate in system design conversations (especially around scale, security, reliability)
Implement and enforce security, compliance, and governance guardrails in infrastructure
Assist with disaster recovery, backup strategies, and capacity planning
Mentor and share best practices with junior engineers
Be proactive in identifying gaps, suggesting improvements, and executing them

Required

3+ years of hands-on DevOps, infrastructure, or cloud engineering experience
Strong AWS expertise (services, networking, IAM)
Deep experience using Terraform (or Pulumi / CloudFormation) for infrastructure management
Solid scripting or programming ability (Python, Go, Bash, etc.)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.)
Good troubleshooting skills (networking, OS, distributed systems)
Comfortable working in a small but growing team; able to wear multiple hats

Preferred

Experience designing systems in AWS (microservices, event-driven, serverless)
Prior work with AI / ML tooling / MLops or automating internal tooling
Experience with container orchestration (EKS, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of security best practices (IAM policies, least privilege, encryption)
Experience with scaling, high availability, disaster recovery
Exposure to infrastructure cost optimization
Knowledge of internal tooling, platform engineering, or developer platform design
