UAT Engineer

Tradewind Aviation is a leading Part 135 commuter and on-demand private charter operator, and they are seeking a highly skilled UAT Test Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The role involves developing and executing UAT test plans, collaborating with teams, and validating business processes to meet user needs.

Travel

Responsibilities

Develop, author, and execute detailed UAT test plans and scripts based on business requirements and system specifications
Collaborate closely with software developers, QA teams, and project managers to ensure quality deliverables
Validate end-to-end business processes and confirm system functionality aligns with user needs
Identify, document, and track defects; work with development teams to resolve issues promptly
Provide clear and concise feedback to stakeholders and participate in go/no-go decision-making
Quickly learn and understand proprietary systems and business workflows to ensure thorough testing coverage
Contribute to continuous improvement of UAT processes and best practices

Required

Bachelor's degree (4-year degree) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in User Acceptance Testing or related QA/testing roles
Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and project managers
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to quickly learn complex systems and business processes
Familiarity with testing tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, HP ALM, or similar)
Able to lift up to 60 lbs
Available to work weekends, holidays, and provide after-hours accessibility to personnel and leadership
50% travel required across the Northeast Region, Southeast Region, Bahamas and limited time in the Caribbean
Prolonged periods of desk work using a computer
Exposure to outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, wind, and sun during ramp and operational duties

Preferred

Experience in the airline industry or related transportation sectors
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
ISTQB or similar testing certification is a plus
