Responsibilities
Provide customer service primarily by telephone, in-person, and electronically by offering appropriate solutions, resolution for issues, and follow-up
Collections of certain past due loans and contracts, including making payment arrangements
Marketing for loans by inviting customers to apply for loans and offering optional ancillary products, if properly licensed, when they may provide benefit to the customer
Obtaining and inputting, primarily by telephone, direct consumer loan applications, including inputting complete credit applications, identifying the real loan purpose and potential collateral to secure the loan
Investigate and develop direct consumer loan and contract credit applications, including interviewing applicants to obtain additional information, verification of employment and other credit history
Analyzing, examining, and evaluating credit applications. For training purposes, the Consumer Loan Officer Trainee will make credit recommendations to a Consumer Loan Officer whether to approve, decline or counteroffer both direct loan and contract credit applications consistent with company policies and procedures, as well as any federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to the Equal Credit Opportunity Act
Qualification
Required
At least two years of experience working directly with customers
Strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor
Demonstrated desire and ability to learn effective credit underwriting practices
Must be willing to AUTHORIZE and PASS a criminal and credit background check
Preferred
College degree strongly preferred
Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred (additional $1 per hour)
Bachelor's (Preferred)
Financial Industry: 2 years (Preferred)
Fluent Spanish & English (Preferred)
