Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor organizational budgets aligned with strategic goals
Conduct detailed financial analysis and account analysis to support decision-making processes
Prepare comprehensive financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Perform account reconciliation procedures for general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
Manage cash flow forecasting and cash management activities to optimize liquidity
Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and industry standards such as GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and governmental accounting regulations
Oversee payroll processing and related accounting functions using financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
Maintain accurate general ledger accounting records through double entry bookkeeping practices
Support internal controls by conducting balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring proper documentation of financial transactions
Collaborate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation for regulatory review
Utilize financial concepts including debits & credits, account reconciliation, and financial management principles to maintain integrity of financial data
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in corporate accounting with a focus on budgeting and financial analysis
Strong knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and governmental accounting practices
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
Advanced skills in Excel
Familiarity with financial concepts like double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, forecasting, and regulatory reporting
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately
Strong understanding of cash management strategies and internal controls
Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and collaborating across teams
Preferred
CPA or CMA certification
Experience with non-profit accounting
