Senior LevelCalculated Hire is seeking a qualified Insurance Consultant to advise their Government Client's Broadband Office on the sufficiency of insurance certificates under Broadband subgrant agreements. The role involves reviewing insurance certificates, determining compliance with regulations, and advising on risk mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities
Review and assess insurance certificates submitted by broadband subgrantees and contractors
Determine compliance with federal and state insurance standards, including 2 CFR 200.310
Advise staff and legal counsel on adequacy, risk mitigation, and policy interpretation
Respond to questions from both grantees and IBO related to insurance provisions
Assist with process improvements to support consistent and compliant insurance review
Attend occasional onsite meetings as requested
Qualification
Required
Background in broadband deployment, construction, or infrastructure projects
Deep knowledge of commercial insurance, risk transfer, and liability protection
Prior experience serving as an insurance advisor or risk consultant, preferably for public-sector clients
Ability to ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place to protect the State as the principal
Candidates must not be currently working on other BEAD-related (Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment) projects to be considered for this position
Knowledge in Commercial General Liability as it pertains to grant and construction projects
Knowledge in Automobile Liability as it pertains to grant and construction projects
Knowledge in Errors and Omissions as it pertains to grant and construction projects
Knowledge in Workers' Compensation as it pertains to grant and construction projects
Knowledge in Property and Inland Marine Insurance as it pertains to grant and construction projects
Knowledge in Cyber Liability as it pertains to grant and construction projects
Knowledge in Deductible management and waiver of subrogation as it pertains to grant and construction projects
Knowledge in Certificate review and endorsement compliance as it pertains to grant and construction projects
