Responsibilities
Work closely with engineering leadership to craft strategy, priorities, and execution plans
Collaborate daily with a team of passionate developers and leaders across the studio
Develop new core systems and engine features that empower the team
Profile, optimize, and work with others to achieve high performance across all platforms
Communicate with Epic and other partners to report, debug, and resolve problems
Proactively identify and improve tools and workflows to maximize iteration and stability
Directly manage and mentor other engineers across engine, gameplay, and infrastructure
Work in an agile process to establish accurate estimates for completing tasks predictably
Qualification
Required
10+ years of professional experience in game development
Contributions to a multi-platform game title as a professional systems/engine/tools programmer
Expert in C++ with deep knowledge of language features and common design patterns
Pragmatic, data-driven, fast-moving but calculated approach to technology development
Comfortable profiling, optimizing, extending, and debugging foundational engine systems
Strong understanding of multi-threading patterns and implementing robust concurrent software
Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Passionate about practical, applied best-practices in software and games development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
Experience managing day-to-day operations and careers across a group of engineers
Curious and motivated to learn and contribute across many aspects of the project
Successfully shipped a game on Unreal Engine
Working knowledge of UE core systems and rendering pipeline
