Director of Data Analytics

The Director of Health Data Analytics is responsible for developing and refining data solutions to support decision-making and drive better health outcomes within the organization.

Responsibilities
Ongoing responsibility to support key decision makers through various means of data extraction and analysis
Translate project requirements into business and functional specifications for data solutions
Design, develop, and maintain new and existing data solutions including reports, dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and analytical databases
Test analytical output to ensure accuracy
Document and communicate changes made to data solutions in a timely manner. (This may include providing training opportunities to end users.)
Collaborate with Electronic Health Records and Business teams to prioritize requests
Engaging with staff to define requirements and create solutions for data requests
Assist with creating and maintaining SSRS/SSIS packages
Cross train with Electronic Health Records Analysts to assist with ongoing projects
Work collaboratively with the Electronic Health Records team, Operations and Finance Teams to ensure smooth transitions during optimizations & system updates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in an IT or Healthcare Related Field, or relevant experience in lieu of degree
Experience engaging directly with end users, C Level and Executive staff to define business data requirements
Architecting Solutions for Business Intelligence, Analytics and Reporting
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
10+ years Data architecting, inventorying, and optimization
10+ years MS SQL Server and T-SQL experience
Expert understanding of database, data mart, and data warehousing concepts
Expert Database debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills
Expert in Data/BI and Reporting
Ability to manage multiple priorities and be able to adjust quickly to changing priorities
Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision
10+ years of experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, Crystal Reports, MS Report Builder
10+ years of healthcare experience (IT and/or clinical)
Preferred
Deep knowledge of ETL design, development, and support
Claims processing and submission
Experience with Electronic Health Record Platforms: Sigmund Aura, NetSmart Avatar, EPIC
Experience with creating/maintaining SSRS/SSIS packages
Experience with creating/maintaining custom MS SQL and Access applications
Experience in Business Intelligence concepts and tools (Qlik, Tableau, Alteryx, Pyramid Analytics, Minitab, Databricks, Snowflake)
Programming/scripting experience (C#, VB, SAP, Java/JavaScript, XML, HTML, Web Services)
