Transport Network Specialist
Leidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers. They are seeking a Transport Network Specialist to support the Navy's IT services program by contributing to the analysis, design, planning, and ongoing support of transport areas within the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet.

Responsibilities
Provide solution development and engineering work for networking/transport
Participate in the planning of upgrades, replacement, configuration, and maintenance of networking/transport projects
Assist in providing engineering solutions that provide secure, effective and efficient operation of systems, architecture, and topology for transport
Participate in new and existing IT modernization, expansion, and improvement projects related to transport for the NMCI network
Collaborate with technical experts to synthesize solutions related to transport
Participate in the analysis, review, and validation with customers, stakeholders, and team members for NMCI projects and changes related to transport
Comply with ITSM processes and procedures, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) governance, and Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI 8500.01 and DON 5239
Support development and maintenance of engineering processes, checklists, and procedures for transport
Qualification
Required
Requires B.S. Degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience (in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university)
Two (2) or more years' experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance to start the program
Technical knowledge and skills in one or more of the following areas: BAN/LAN/WLAN/WAN, cross domain solutions, communications security, and piers connectivity networks, designing/architecting
Experience working in large information technology enterprise environments
Hands-on experience in working with DoD networks
Travel may be required
Security+ or other applicable certification to meet DoD 8570 requirements
Preferred
Experience working on DoD programs, specifically Navy programs
