This role is responsible for overseeing efficient, cost-effective movement of goods within the distribution network, managing truckload operations, carriers, routes, and compliance while ensuring timely deliveries and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, route, dispatch, and track truckload shipments to optimize network efficiency and on-time delivery performance
Manage inventory flow and coordinate outbound transportation to support operational and customer requirements
Supervise and develop team members, including scheduling, performance management, and ensuring proper training and qualifications
Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with all DOT, OSHA, and applicable federal and state transportation regulations
Proactively resolve transportation issues, including delays, damaged goods, customer complaints, and lost shipments
Maintain accurate transportation records, reporting, and documentation
Provide regular status updates and collaborate closely with Operations, Inventory, Customer Service, and other cross-functional teams
Qualification
Required
Experience with shipping and receiving operation with greater than 50 employees
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent warehouse experience
Excellent written and spoken English skills
Working knowledge and use of a Warehouse Management System and transportation processes
Ability to follow complex written and/or verbal instructions
Ability to effectively communicate written or verbal instructions to associates
Proficient in the MS Office Suite business applications
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and to make use of appropriate warehouse material handling equipment, as necessary
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
Preferred
Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification program
Bi-lingual is a plus
Forklift experience desired, ability to become certified on material handling equipment a must
