Financial Compliance Clinical Lead

The Financial Compliance Clinical Lead will serve as a subject matter expert in oncology clinical trials, ensuring financial compliance and overseeing the management of research charges to safeguard institutional integrity.

Responsibilities

Facilitating the conduct of oncology clinical trials and ensuring associated financial compliance
Providing oversight, creation, and maintenance of oncology treatment plans in Epic
Ensuring adherence to best practices in research billing review standards
Training new and existing staff on compliant processes as they pertain to mitigating patient financial toxicity
Serving as a key liaison to the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, the UNC Office of Clinical Trials, and the North Carolina Cancer Hospital
Ensuring research charges are accurately managed for clinical oncology study compliance
Safeguarding institutional integrity and mitigating financial and operational liability
Maintaining the quality of research and addressing patient safety, regulatory compliance, and financial compliance which impact research quality

Required

Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution
Knowledge of ICH GCP, Federal Regulations and Guidelines and ability to follow established regulations, procedures, and protocols
Strong computer skills
Ability to gather data and document procedures
Ability to plan work and coordinate multiple projects
Adequate social acumen and customer service skills
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing
Previous experience with therapeutic clinical research involving drugs and/or devices
Experience in Phase I, II, and III clinical research
Experience navigating medical records and data extraction
Knowledge of research billing finance and compliance

Preferred

Experience in oncology research
