The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure to support data platforms, trading systems, and time-series databases, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-optimized environments for data engineering and analytics workloads.

Responsibilities

Design and manage AWS cloud infrastructure for data platforms (KDB, Databricks, Timescale)
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform/CloudFormation
Build and manage networking, VPCs, security groups, IAM policies
Configure compute (EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda) and storage (S3, EBS, EFS) for scalability
Enable monitoring & observability with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana
Implement cost management and optimization strategies
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements (encryption, logging, IAM)
Strong expertise in AWS core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch)
Experience with IaC (Terraform or CloudFormation)
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment
Experience in cloud security (KMS, encryption, IAM best practices)
Exposure to supporting data platforms (Databricks, KDB, or PostgreSQL/Timescale)
Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
