Responsibilities

Lead and manage the successful delivery of bridge design projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met
Perform and oversee structural analysis and design for bridges and related transportation structures in accordance with AASHTO and state DOT standards
Prepare and review plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for bridge projects
Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and support office growth
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, contractors, and agencies
Participate in project scoping, budgeting, and QA/QC reviews
Cultivate strong client relationships and contribute to business development efforts in Arizona and surrounding regions
Engage in professional associations and industry events to elevate Consor’s visibility

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related discipline
8+ years of experience in structural/bridge design engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona or ability to obtain within 6 months
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., LEAP Bridge, MIDAS, STAAD, or similar)
Strong understanding of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and state DOT standards
Demonstrated experience delivering PS&E packages for bridge projects
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred

Experience with complex bridge projects, including steel and prestressed concrete structures
Familiarity with design-build project delivery
Prior consulting experience managing municipal or state DOT projects
Experience mentoring staff and leading technical teams
Self-motivated with attention to detail and commitment to quality
