Providence is a leading healthcare provider in western Montana, dedicated to patient-centered care. They are seeking a Trauma Clinical Data Analyst Specialist to review hospital records for trauma patients, collect and verify data, and perform coding for injuries and procedures.

Responsibilities

Reviews hospital records to locate all trauma activated patients and those injured patients not activated in the ED that meet State collection criteria
Collects comprehensive, accurate data relating to trauma patients by abstracting all trajectories of care, verify & update all information compiled & enter data into the State Trauma system in a concurrent manner
Performs coding of injuries, procedures & causes of injuries using standard medical record references, specifically International Classification of Diseases (ICD), Tenth Revision codes, assign diagnoses Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) & ICD-10CM (Clinical Modification) codes & complete Injury Severity Scale (ISS) & other calculations for an average of seventeen (15) records per week

Preferred

1 year of Nursing or exposure to EMS
Registry data entry experience
ICD and AIS coding
