Responsibilities
Prepare and file federal and state individual and business tax returns using Drake Tax Software
Accurately enter, update, and manage client data, notes, and return status in the firm’s CRM system
Review financial documents including W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, and business records
Ensure compliance with current tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines
Communicate with clients to request missing information or clarify documentation
Identify potential issues or tax-saving opportunities and escalate as appropriate
Maintain strict confidentiality of client financial and personal information
Work efficiently in a fast-paced, on-site office environment during peak season
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience preparing and filing both personal and business tax returns
Hands-on experience with Drake Tax Software (required)
Experience using a CRM system for client management and workflow tracking
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple returns and meet deadlines
Active PTIN
Preferred
Experience with small business, self-employed, or multi-entity returns
Bachelors in Accounting or Business (a plus, not required)
Bilingual skills (a plus)
