Responsibilities

Support all phases of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, benefits administration, and separations
Maintain, audit, and update employee records in ADP Workforce Now
Assist with payroll processing and provide backup support as needed
Administer benefits programs, including enrollments, audits, invoicing, and open enrollment
Manage leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, ADA) across multiple jurisdictions
Coordinate Workers’ Compensation claims and carrier communications
Respond to employment verifications, unemployment claims, and related hearings
Support employee relations matters, performance documentation, and compliance activities
Monitor HR compliance deadlines and assist with policy updates and audits
Prepare HR reports, maintain tracking tools, and support special projects
Contribute to firmwide HR initiatives related to training, engagement, and employee experience

Required

Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, including employee relations and investigations, law firm experience required
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements
Experience supporting multi-state employee populations; union experience a plus
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and sound judgment
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Bachelor's degree required

Preferred

PHR or SPHR certification preferred
Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
