Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using C# and/or Python
Contribute to cloud-based data pipelines and analytics platforms on AWS
Build and optimize solutions leveraging AWS Glue, S3, Athena (and related services)
Support trading, risk, P&L, and market data use cases for energy commodities (power, gas, renewables, etc.)
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate trading and risk requirements into technical solutions
Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, and security in production environments
Participate in system design, technical documentation, and production support when needed
Qualification
Required
3 to 10 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer / Developer
Strong development skills in C# and/or Python
Solid hands-on experience with AWS, including (Glue, S3 & Athena)
Experience working in Capital Markets, Energy Trading, Commodities, or Trading Systems
Good understanding of data-driven architectures, APIs, and backend services
Comfortable working in agile, front-office or trading-adjacent environments
Preferred
Exposure to energy trading systems (ETRM/CTRM, P&L, risk, market data)
Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and analytics use cases
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, or infrastructure-as-code
Prior experience working directly with traders or risk teams
