Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the Yale Daily News’s financial operations
Advertising sales
Overall business strategy
Financial reporting
Monitoring budgets
Revenue generation through advertising and sponsorships
Ensuring the day-to-day financial health of the organization
Mentor student leadership
Engage with alumni
Help with event organizing
Help administratively with the activities of the Yale Daily News Foundation
Qualification
Required
Expertise in Business Affairs and Financial Reporting, including managing budgets, setting financial strategies, and generating revenue
Excellent leadership and organizational skills to oversee financial and administrative operations, including historic building oversight, effectively
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work closely with both business and editorial teams, and alumni stakeholders
Proficiency in financial software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools is beneficial. Non-profit experience helpful
Prior experience in media or publishing, especially in a managerial or financial role
Preferred
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Media Management, or a related field
