Learning and Development Manager
COVE Animal Health is a connected network of veterinary practices on a mission to improve patient outcomes through effective people development. The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for owning and delivering enterprise-wide learning strategies and programs that enhance performance and support workforce capability across multiple states and sites.

Responsibilities
Own and maintain the enterprise learning strategy and program architecture across all employee populations
Design and deploy scalable, standardized learning frameworks that can be used consistently across regions and sites
Serve as the platform-level owner for learning programs, ensuring alignment to organizational goals, clinical excellence standards, and business priorities
Lead the design and ongoing management of standardized technician training curricula from entry level through licensure readiness
Establish governance, evaluation criteria, and quality standards for all learning initiatives
Partner with veterinarians, credentialed technicians, medical leaders, and other SMEs to design and refresh learning content
Translate clinical, operational, and functional expertise into engaging and effective learning experiences
Own content lifecycle management, including version control, updates, and sunsetting of outdated materials
Provide ongoing support for clinical team development and clinical training programs
Ensure high-quality, compliant educational experiences are delivered that support career progression and retention
Evaluate program effectiveness using feedback, outcomes, and performance metrics, and iterate programming accordingly
Provide strategic direction, tools, and standards for regional trainers who deliver learning locally (dotted-line relationship)
Develop facilitator guides, delivery standards, and train-the-trainer resources to ensure consistent execution
Partner with regional and operational leaders to align training delivery with enterprise priorities
Own the Learning Management System (LMS), including structure, content organization, reporting, and learner engagement
Manage learning vendors, certification bodies, and partner relationships
Oversee learning budgets, contract renewals, and vendor performance evaluation
Monitor and report on key metrics (engagement, completion, outcomes, and ROI)
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in learning and development, training, or talent development
Demonstrated experience owning, designing, and deploying enterprise-level learning programs across multiple sites or regions
Strong experience partnering with SMEs to develop engaging learning content
Proven ability to operate effectively without direct reports, influencing through structure, standards, and collaboration
Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience in veterinary medicine and clinical training environments
Preferred
Experience supporting internships, residencies, mentorships, or academic partnerships
LMS ownership experience (Paylocity Learning or similar platforms)
Familiarity with compliance, CE tracking, or credentialed learning environments
