Responsibilities

Ability to qualify as Deputy Chief Pressure Safety Officer (DCPSO) for facility pressure safety systems
Proficient to expert knowledge of ASME codes
Experience managing and maintaining technical baseline and Master Equipment List (MEL)
Experience ensuring facility system configuration is controlled using a risk-based graded approach
Knowledge and experience with Conduct of Engineering (CoE) program requirements for facility modifications and configuration management
Experienced with reviewing design outputs for impacts on the technical baseline and MEL
Experience supporting configuration management activities
Experience with defining maintenance requirements, track system performance, and support preventative maintenance scheduling
Experience conducting facility system walk-downs and prepare Facility Health Reports
Experience providing technical support for facility systems and components
Experience mentoring system engineers

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
Minimum of 6 years of practical work experience necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined
Ability to qualify as Deputy Chief Pressure Safety Officer (DCPSO) for facility pressure safety systems
Proficient to expert knowledge of ASME codes
Experience managing and maintaining technical baseline and Master Equipment List (MEL)
Experience ensuring facility system configuration is controlled using a risk-based graded approach
Knowledge and experience with Conduct of Engineering (CoE) program requirements for facility modifications and configuration management
Experienced with reviewing design outputs for impacts on the technical baseline and MEL
Experience supporting configuration management activities

Preferred

Advanced engineering or technical degree
Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
Mechanical engineering degree and/or experience with facility pressure systems
Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
Design or operations experience in nuclear, accelerator or industrial facility operations
Experienced in producing designs utilizing AutoCAD and/or Revit tools and work processes
Knowledge of DOE, LANL Engineering Standards, and Conduct of Engineering principles and procedures
