The Physician Fellow will work closely with experienced medical professionals, attend medical rounds, and collaborate in the management of clinical cases.

Responsibilities

Works alongside physicians and attends medical rounds to evaluate patients and monitor their progress
Attends and participate in multidisciplinary clinical conferences and research meetings
Performs routine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and assists in complex surgical procedures as instructed
Provides support to other healthcare professionals in the assessment and management of patients
Monitors patient progress, communicates effectively with patients and their families, and provides education about disease prevention and management
Collaborates with other medical staff members in the management of clinical cases, develops treatment plans, and provides ongoing care to patients
Participates in ongoing professional development activities to increase knowledge and skills in their field of specialty
May perform additional duties as assigned

Physician ResidencyDoctor of MedicineClinical ExperienceCollaborationCommunication

Required

Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
Successful completion of physician residency program
Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution
