Production Services Section Manager
The California Franchise Tax Board is responsible for managing the state's tax collection and revenue services. The Production Services Section Manager plans, coordinates, and manages the department’s publication services, in-house print services, and multimedia, marketing, and graphic services, ensuring a customer-centric focus in support of the department’s communication needs.

Responsibilities
Plans, coordinates, and manages the policies, strategic direction, and business practices for the department’s publication services, in-house print services, and multimedia, marketing, and graphic services
Overseeing the operations and production of these areas
Serve on enterprise teams and councils as a representative for your section and the Communication Services Bureau
Maintain a customer centric focus while you provide support for the department’s communication needs
Qualification
Required
Experience working in a supervisory/managerial role
Working knowledge in a professional creative environment with focus on marketing, video production, digital photography, and graphic design
Experience working with internal and external stakeholders
Experience leading or managing a team with technical workloads
Experience leading efforts in developing new processes
Experience planning, organizing, and managing multiple workloads, priorities, deliverables, and expectation setting
Experience applying analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve complex challenges
Technical knowledge of State and Department policies related to business forms, publications, and printing, including design, development, and accessibility
Experience working in or leading publication or print process
Leadership skills including staff development, interpersonal, problem-solving, consensus-building, and negotiation
IT and/or non-IT Project management experience
Experience communicating or coordinating with business areas and IT staff
Ability to work collaboratively to build and maintain professional relationships with all levels of staff
Ability to strategically lead the section, teams, and councils through enterprise governance processes to achieve departmental goals
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various groups; business, technical and management. Including the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff
Ability to work well under pressure, thrive in an environment of changing deadlines, multiple workloads and competing priorities
Demonstrated focus on employee and customer focus
Ability to work in a team environment while keeping an enterprise perspective and demonstrating initiative, ownership, accountability and independence
