Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical power systems and equipment on-site: transformers, circuit breakers, LV/MV switchgear, PLC controls
Run diagnostics, isolate faults, and take corrective actions to reduce downtime
Support startups and commissioning to verify performance against specifications
Be the primary on-site contact for customers; provide basic operator training
Record all service activities—test results, findings, and performance notes
Use remote support tools when applicable to accelerate issue resolution
Coordinate with other technicians to deliver timely, high-quality service
Follow company safety procedures, OSHA guidance, and industry standards; participate in safety training and maintain certifications
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
3–5 years of field service experience in power systems, electrical equipment, or industrial controls
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency with field service software, ERP tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
Preferred
Associate's degree in electrical engineering or related field
Certifications such as NFPA 70E and OSHA 30
Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems
Baseline familiarity with PLCs, SCADA platforms, and protective relays
